The Ultimate Death (by the piece of paper you’re reading this on)

Black jaws, gnashing teeth

Always hungry, always horrifying.

I sit by this monster, safe

In a stack of friends.

Yet I know

One by one

They all fall prey

To the roaring ripping, shredding fiend

Until I myself

Resisting

Fall into the gaping maw

To forever be silenced.

 

~Note: This was contemplating a paper shredder.

  1. I quite like this poem. It speaks so much deeper than a paper shredder. Also, scrolling up and down your page is really entertaining… light… dark… light… dark…
